Winds of change blow balloon creative Lucas Jatoba into Sydney
Barcelon’a loss is Sydney’s gain if a farewell gesture to the Spanish city by former BBDO creative Lucas Jatoba is anything to go by.
The 29-year-old Brazlilian , who worked at Contrapunto BBDO, decided to say goodbye and thank you to Barcelona in December by buying seven balloons and theatre tickets and dispatching them into the winds.
After local travel website atrapalo.com heard of the gesture, it donated 250 theatre tickets and he was able to repeat the gesture on a larger scale.
Before his time in Barcelona, Jatoba worked at Lowe Brazil.
Jatoba has been in Sydney for a fortnight. where he’s looking for work in an ad agency. He tells Dr Mumbo: “I came to Sydney because it´s a great place to live, to work (some very creative advertising agencies here) and also because my brother has been living here for four years. ‘m looking for a job as a conceptual art director. I´d like to work in an creative agency where I´ll have opportunities to create for all media, especially online, TVC and integrated campaigns.”

I think what he did is a beautiful gesture. Imagine how different our world would be if each of us just did one thing each day that was selfless. So much needless suffering would be reduced and it would make it a better planet for all of us.
