Markson signs as publicist for White House “gatecrasher” couple
Max Markson has been signed to be the worldwide publicist for Washington socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi, the couple who made headlines around the world after it was alleged they gatecrashed a White House state dinner.
Markson will start work for his new clients when they head to Melbourne for a polo event to be held on February 6, sponsored by Stella Artois.
The event will see a match up against the US and Australia. Markson said he is on the hunt for a sponsor for the US team which is headed up by Tareq Salahi.
Last week, the Salahis fronted a House committee where they refused to answer questions over their attendance at the White House state dinner on November 24. The incident is being investigated by a federal grand jury.
Meanwhile Lewis Kahn, a former senior publicist for Markson, has left Markson Sparks to start his own PR agency, Rainmaker Communications.

I predict there will be no polo event which will see a match up against the US and Australia on February 6, due to the Salahi’s having a prior commintment to be in a US courtroom or some other excuse from either Tareq or Michelle. Mr Markson, will your ad read: “The fleecing of Australians”? I also predict the Australian Embassy may have something to say about this.
