New strategy director for M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment
M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment will welcome Susan Maxwell, of Octagon Australia, as the new strategy director in September.
Leading sponsorship strategy and activation agency M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Maxwell as Strategy Director; she will join the agency in September.
Maxwell, a B&T 2013 30 under 30 winner, has a strong background in brand marketing, experiential and sponsorship strategy and has worked with some of Australia’s most iconic brands in both a client and agency capacity across a range of industries including FMCG, Alcohol, Finance and Telecommunications.
She comes to the position from Octagon Australia where, as GAD, she led the Lion Co. business overseeing multiple brands including XXXX GOLD, Hahn Super Dry and Budweiser and worked with Lion Co. to develop a new approach to unlocking the power of experiential and sponsorship. Prior to leading the Lion account, Maxwell was instrumental in leading strategic sponsorship and activation plans for multiple Telstra projects and contributed to multiple new business wins.
At M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment Maxwell will look to bring her strategic experience to existing clients, including Commonwealth Bank, IAG and Pepsi as well as leading the further development of their thought leadership and strategic capabilities.
Maxwell was appointed by M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment MD Jamie Gilbert-Smith, who stated:
