Old Spice says be a man, man

For those of you who may have recently read Mumbrella’s take on sanitary pad and tampon advertising and the continued depiction of idiotic men, check out what real men should act like in these latest Old Spice ads.

Men shouldn’t be sticking pads on their faces, they should be ripping their chest hairs and doing some form of manly exercise.

This is Wieden + Kennedy’s follow up ad to its Super Bowl creative for Old Spice. It’s very manly.

And this was the hilarious Super Bowl ad and a follow up execution.

  4. Like the humour, pity Old Spice smells like an unhygenic italian trattoria just before the inspectors close it down

    Mind you – it does remind me of childhood in the 70s so not all bad!

  6. Love it. Great idea to come back as a body wash rather than an aftershave. Aftershave would’ve been a very hard call. But if ‘we know its Old Spice so try it as a body wash first’ works then I reckon they could be able to get the aftershave up again.
