Rekorderlig Cider launches ‘Beautifully Swedish’ campaign
Swedish cider brand Rekorderlig has launched a national campaign to boost its standing in the high-growth alcoholic beverage category, positioning itself as ‘Beautifully Swedish’.
The campaign will deploy outdoor, print, sponsorship and PR, which is being handled by Exposure Public Relations & Marketing.
According to a press release, the cider brand is aiming to “engage those who aspire to a unique and uninhibited lifestyle.”
The brand embassador for Rekorderlig is Caroline Blomst, a Swedish fashionista and blogger, to represent “an edgy and chic Scandinavian style’ for the brand.
The cider is available in six flavours: ‘refreshing yellow apple’, ‘distinctly crisp green pear’, ‘zesty red Strawberry-Lime’, ‘dry and juicy pink Wild Berries’, ‘rich and fruity purple apple & blackcurrant’ and the limited edition ‘blue winter cider’.
I’ll have what she’s drinking!

Pity it tastes like double-shot soda stream.

Yeh, I would drink it all the time if it was just a bit less sweet.

You need to have it with a squeeze of lime. Takes away the sweetness and adds a little more edge, delicious.

Is she supposed to represent an overly expensive escort, to match this overly expensive drink?

I love the campaign. The use of colour is so refreshing. Nice to see something contemporary on the cider scene. And so the flavours just keep on coming…

Refreshing campaign to go with a totally refreshing brand that has made me go from hate to love of Cider! From a creative point of view it is nice to see a new brand realise that what lies within is pivotal to building a brand rather than just a contrived campaign to do with music / footy etc…or just sticking a bottle out there like the imaginitive strongbow pear!

@Zach G Did you? I had a massive session on the apple flavour and I felt pretty good the next day?

Discovered this product a while ago when it was stocked in very few places and enjoy it greatly. As a female and not a fashion follower, I’m not so sure about yet another brand seeking to connect itself to women built like scarecrows wearing *sigh* ‘fashion’ that costs more than the average punter would earn in a month but they know their target and are going after it fair and square. Alcopops begone! The Cider Resurgence is upon us and as ciders go, based on attractive labeling and a nice range of flavours, this one gets my vote…even with the stickfigures used in the campaign.

I think the campaign goes way deeper than simply the lead ambassadors. Think of everything Swedish – design, architecture, fashion, landscape – all of these ladder up to the theme of beautiful. Just so happens a hook is required to attract attention…god love marketing 🙂 Looks like it’s going to be a perfect weekend in Sydney for a few ciders!
