The totes amazeballs Holmes, remixed
Regular readers may recall that Media Watch presenter Jonathan Holmes made a somewhat curious decision to get down with the kids on Monday.
Now, Dr Mumbo is happy to report, the kids have got down with Jonathan Holmes as this short musical piece demonstrates:
You know that trend of hipsters wearing cardigans? Holmes started that.
Cute – I thought his dig was a little unfair; there is much semi-commercial material on the ABC but to pick on pop musicmakers (or even a shoe company) is way down the pecking order of dubious content. There are more serious breaches of their code, I reckon. The ABC needs to connect with a variety of organisations and that includes commercal ones – from authors, to record labels, to business bloggers, to bankers and superannuation advisers. To be able to represent the community’s issues you cannot ignore commerce but why is it okay for book publishers or movie makers to talk their products and not others? just a thought (btw I’m glad there’s lots of book chat)

I love it when he pulls out silly lines like that. He used the word “pwned” a year or so ago and I had to laugh. Out loud.
