Unilever marketer Sharon Parker joins Mediabrands
The Unilever marketer responsible for the company’s deodorants, male grooming and skin categories is to join Mediabrands as executive director of marketing services.
Sharon Parker will work with Mediabrands teams including UM, Initiative, Reprise and Ensemble to boost how they deal with clients.
Parker joined Unilever in 2008 and will move into the newly created role on Monday.
Henry Tajer, executive chairman for IPG Mediabrands said: “Sharon is joining us as executive director of marketing services to fulfil a role that befits her experience as one of Australia’s most inventive and successful marketers. She will work with our client teams across all disciplines to assist in how we engage with clients and that our communications and understanding of client issues and needs are completely clear.”
Parker added: “I will be helping the teams build stronger understanding of clients’ motivations and needs and assist in analysing opportunities beyond the extent of the brief.”
The announcement comes after the company’s global win of Malaysia Airlines last week.
