This practical and popular introductory workshop provides a solid foundation for new Cinematographers.

The course covers:
– The nature, quality and behaviour of light
– Pre-visualisation exercises and examination of photographic styles
– Interior/exterior lighting styles and logistics
– Composition, exposure and movement
– Choosing cameras and formats
– Lighting safety, equipment care and maintenance
– Practical exercises in three-point lighting and derivatives
