REBECCA DE UNAMUNO – KISS MY DATE

Rebecca De Unamuno is looking for love in all the wrong places. Kiss My Date is inspired by 12 months of online dating and follows De Unamuno’s hilarious, revealing and often moving journey to find “Mr Right”. She will be bringing this brand new stand-up show during Sydney Comedy Festival on May 12th, 14th and 16th at The Factory Theatre.

After years of travelling through life as a single woman, De Unamuno signed up to an online dating website and welcomed invitations from a bevy of bachelors, suitors and everything in-between.

From watching a man’s pet bunny rabbit via webcam to crossing the generational divide and dating a Gen Y, De Unamuno examines how the internet has changed how we meet new people and fall in love.

Rebecca has been an improviser for over 15 years and has performed regularly at Belvoir St Theatre and Enmore Theatre. Rebecca is a two-time Cranston Cup champion and was a member of the Australian team which won the Improv World Cup at the 2001 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. Rebecca was the first woman in the history of the competition to be named Player of the Tournament.

Having performed alongside Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Andrew O’Keefe and Ross Noble in improv shows, De Unamuno’s talent for creating on-the-spot characters is second-to-none. Comedy Pick of the Fringe – 2013 Sydney Fringe Festival, De Unamuno is a veteran of the stage and screen. De Unamuno’s film and television credits include Big Bite, CNNNN, The Glass House, Kath & Kim, Talkin’ Bout Your Generation and Happy Feet 2.
