Documentary Filmmaking Introduction at Open Channel

Get the skills to make your own short documentary with this intensive practical course.

Designed for beginners, this course gives you a solid technical and creative foundation.

Be guided by an experienced filmmaker to:
• Examine storytelling conventions
• Understand the process of concept development
• Understand legal and ethical issues
• Conduct interviews
• Use camera, lighting, sound and editing equipment
• Collaboratively shoot and edit a short documentary exercise i.e. working as a group or in groups.
