Carlton Natural looks to men’s natural pub defences
New beer sub-brand Carlton Natural launches today in an advertising campaign created by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne. Using a wildlife documentary-style voiceover, it features men evolving new natural body defences to allow them to enjoy drinking in the pub.
The campaign is among the first work by Clemenger BBDO for Carlton since the debacle over its banned-released-banned ads for Carlton Draught back in March.
The low carb Carlton Natural comes from Carlton & United Breweries, which is owned by Foster’s.
I like it.
Using a wildlife doco-style voiceover in an ad’s been done before – but that’s irrelevant, cause as long as it work that’s all that matters (as it does in this instance).
I also liked Clem’s Carlton Draught folk singing videos – shouldn’t have been pulled!
Nice work Clemmos.
Nice work Shencina!
Agreed Camille, Carlton Draught Tingle ads were fantastic, and was a shame for them to be pulled. New ads are pretty good though, like the whole sensei vibe of the narrator.
I like
Nice work. Didn’t see either of those payoffs coming.
Is this the decade of beer variants?
Yawn. Another “humorous” beer ad.
it sure is “humorous”
i like it, but did the guy doing the voice over have to have that daft accent?
End message? Leave the beer |(and your arm) behind. hmmmm
who’s the actor with the turtle neck? is it adam garcia?
Fun.
Great ads! The guy playing the turtle, Clayton Watson was in the Matrix films and just did a film with Guy Pearce apparently – great actor
Well, the turtle beer commercial reminds of someone’s father! He probably use to wish he could have disappeared into himself too, when he got caught out still tossing down the pints at his local pub, when he was suppose to be on his way back home out bush!
Typical blokes’ defence. Typically true!
Where the guy leaves his arm with the girls, you have made a mistake as he has left the beer rather than taking it with him on his left hand.
A guy just would not do that. Good concept on the ads.
Cheers
