Edge rebrands to deliver more positive impact in the decade of action

Edge has launched its new brand position focused on global impact.

The announcement:

Award-winning sustainability consultancy Edge known for combining science, strategy and storytelling launches its new brand position focused on global impact. This comes as the business urges organisations, industries and government to strive for action that delivers positive global impact.

Wildlife populations have plummeted 69 per cent in our lifetime and the planet has warmed at an alarming rate leaving the world 1.1°C warmer in the last century. COP27 highlighted the growing geopolitical and economic
pressures businesses and governments face to act rapidly to live within our planet’s boundaries. As UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres urgently warned, this is a “code red for humanity”.

Despite organisations setting commitments and targets, reports have found that less than 10 per cent of organisations worldwide are achieving their targets. Low rates of success are not for lack of ambition, but the unprecedented scale of transformation required.

Global Impact Consultancy Edge CEO and co-founder Jonas Bengtsson said: “To fully transition to a sustainable society, commitments and targets are no longer enough. The warning signs have become frequent emergencies and disasters. Record temperatures, devastated communities, fires, floods and food shortages. But we don’t see failure.”

“The message is clear: it’s time to step it up and deliver, today. At Edge, we’re working towards a world where unsustainable is unthinkable. We welcome the motivated leaders, organisations and industries who are looking to deliver positive global impact.”

With almost 15 years in the market, global impact is an evolution of the business’ focus on sustainability. Edge connects all the dots by combining science, strategy, and storytelling has helped motivated leaders deliver real outcomes.

Science allows for robust data and evidence, strategy for a plan that works and storytelling to inspire and drive action.

At Edge, every problem solved is hardwired to a sustainable outcome. Edge actively works with clients to integrate various elements of sustainability business practice together to address any of the following opportunities:

• Accelerating action
• Creating evidence-based sustainability
• Managing risk and developing strategy

• Authentic and confident communications
• Connectivity and collaboration
• A partner to simplify the complexity

Creating impact is a cornerstone to Edge’s certification as a B-Corp which signifies the business as a leader in the global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. This year, Edge recertified as a BCorp marking almost seven years since its certification, and this year it joins an exclusive group of organisations with an impact score above 100. This comes as the business marked an impressive 7% increase in its impact assessment since 2018, demonstrating it is living its mission of creating a world where unsustainable is unthinkable.

To achieve global impact, Edge partners with aspiring leaders to drive sustainability transformation across organisations, industries, and societies. By working with some of the most well-known brands such as Cotton On, Concha y Toro, Ste. Michelle Wines, Culligan and United Malt Group to companies working for whole sectors such as Wine Australia, Edge works with organisations that have scale and reach to deliver positive impact.

Since 2008, Edge has been at the forefront of reimagining what sustainability means in today’s world. Edge is proud to be a signatory to the UN Global Compact with its targets verified by the Science-Based Targets Initiative. Edge is a partner to Planet Ark, ACE Hub, Banksia Foundation, UN Global Compact and Sustainable Brands. Because what matters most is the outcome.
