Ethical Dialogues issues guide to ethical reporting on female genital cutting
The Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Right has issued guide to ethical reporting on female genital cutting.

The Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights has launched a guide to ethical reporting on female genital cutting for journalists and media professionals. Funded by the Department of Health and Ageing, Respectful Dialogues: a guide for responsible reporting on Female Genital Cutting draws on community consultation to provide journalists with an informed understanding of the practice, its impacts and existing grassroots campaigns for its eradication taking place around the world.
Designed to address sensationalism in the current mediascape, Responsible Dialogues equips journalists with facts and context, recommendations on responsible reporting and contacts within the women’s health sector.
