Fairfax Media opens fx in Melbourne

Fairfax Media Metro Division has created a Melbourne team for division fx, with four new hires.

Fairfax Media Metro Division today announced the creation of a new Melbourne team for its leading-edge strategic and creative services division, fx, with the addition of four new hires.

Edwina Webb has been appointed as fx Victoria Manager, along with Client Strategy Managers Robert Milne and Sarah Maher, and Sales Manager, Special Projects Tyrell Russell.

Director, fx, Sev Celik, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Edwina, Robbie, Tyrell and Sarah to the team. Our clients really appreciate the creativity and flexibility we bring to their briefs, and we’re growing to accommodate the volume of work”.

Webb joins fx with a strong background in magazine sales for companies such as ACP and FPC as well experience in media strategy at agencies such as George Patterson Bates and Mojo.

Maher has returned to Australia to the fx team from several years in the UK working across some of Europe’s largest brands at out of home and experiential agency Kinetic.

Milne comes to fx with extensive experience in both agency and media company sales, while Russell joins the team from previous roles at Drive.com.au where he was most recently Drive Sales Manager and developed a number of new assets for the property.

The fx team combines the company’s print and digital expertise into a single, cross-platform unit that will enable Metro Media to provide clients with more innovative solutions based on a deep understanding of their business.

The team will work alongside the Fairfax Metro sales team to bring clients the best strategic solutions based on innovation and creativity.

“Our objective is to deliver clients bespoke advertising solutions that meet their marketing objectives across multiple platforms as well as across all the metro media properties.” Celik said.
