Gift-wrapped plane reminds holiday makers to enter Powerball

A private jet parked at Brisbane’s domestic terminal this Christmas season will act as a visual reminder for travellers to get their Powerball ticket, in a new outdoor activation by GPY&R Brisbane.

The campaign, which is in partnership with Alliance Airlines, includes a gift-wrapped 80-seat private jet parked on the tarmac in front of Brisbane’s busy domestic terminal, combined with a PR push and a ‘snap-and-share’ social promotion.

Ben Johnson, brand portfolio manager at the Lott said: “Winning Powerball gives you the ultimate freedom to buy someone a gift they’ve always dreamed of.”

Brendan Greaney, executive creative director of GPY&R Brisbane, who noted he “wouldn’t mind” a private jet, said: “We wanted this year’s Christmas campaign to capture maximum eyeballs and engage with travellers in a fun way.”
