Hey, Hudson, get out of the Qantas Lounge – it’s time to fly high again!
Alan Joyce’s recent departure from Qantas gave incoming CEO Vanessa Hudson much needed cover to reshape the Airline’s reputation. Nick Foley, director of Intangify, thinks it’s high time for her to get in the pilot’s seat.
It’s about a month since Hudson was given control. Apart from a glossy PR video depicting the new CEO smiling and laughing with some members of the Qantas team, it doesn’t feel as though Hudson is leveraging the significant opportunity that came with succeeding the ever-perky, Irish mathematician who eventually caved to public opinion and left earlier than anticipated.

There is no denying the Qantas brand has taken a hammering in recent years. Ghost flights, questionable executive remuneration schemes, Chairman’s Club access for the PM’s son, lost luggage, cancelled flights, disgruntled cabin crews and purported lobbying of the government over Qatar’s landing spots.
A great opportunity for Virgin to make clear they are offering specific seats/flights rather than “bundle of rights” – there must some creative ideas out there about how to sell that as comparison marketing
Hudson knew and did nothing they should be removed . And charged with deception and fraud . Sorry she knew about destroying peoples HOLIYDAY etc . Joyce should be charged and corrupt government lying to the puplic like always and return the 1700 to there jobs .
I am very very tired of the same old clap trap from Qantas and especially the the welcome to country every bloody time I fly with them or bloody Jetstar!
