Nine begins roll out of new-look channels amid increasing need to ‘fight for recognition’
Nine Entertainment’s executive creative director has said streamlining its channels under the Nine banner will help combat the increased competition in the TV market and lead to far more effective cross-channel marketing.
Andrew Peace, who has been instrumental in bringing Nine’s new-look together, made the remarks as its new lifestyle channel, 9Life, took to the air and Nine’s main channel began broadcasting in high definition with 9HD.
The shake-up, unveiled at Nine’s upfront event last month, will enable the network to remain at the forefront in the “fight for recognition”.
So…they weren’t cross promoting across 9, GO! & GEM before????
I think they were…..
Seriously (oops) it makes perfect sense.
“Each channel has a new “presentation, look and feel”
Really Andrew?
Nine has the same graphics package as they did before the 2012 Olympics.
GO! has their silly psychedelic IDs etc they’ve had for around 2 years.
GEM hasn’t seen a real update since it launched 4 or 5 years ago.
So um…. what? Please tell us when these new “presentations, look and feel” will actually hit the airwaves.
I agree with Mark…. Personally I think the channel packages look as fresh as the ball pit at IKEA
So I wonder when is regional WIN going to start hosting the new channels, we still have Informercials on 84 and Gem on 80 on the Sunshine Coast.
>”So I wonder when is regional WIN going to start hosting the new channels,”
Never.
They want to go back to four channels.
