Tinder’s new campaign spotlights its Share My Date solution

Tinder has rolled out a new campaign to highlight its Share My Date tool.

The announcement:

Earlier this month, Tinder, the world’s most popular dating app, unveiled its latest app feature, Share My Date, which allows users to share their date plans directly with friends and loved ones. The new feature is part of its ongoing efforts to make the app a fun, safe, and respectful place for all.

To give Aussies a view of how to use this feature in their dating lives, Tinder has engaged well-known Australian TikTok creators including Latisha and Kat Clark, and Sasha Morpeth to lean into key #GirlTok trends and help build awareness for the feature. The campaign will also roll out in paid placements across TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, YouTube and Spotify, as well as via sponsorship of Abbie Chatfield’s ‘It’s A Lot’ podcast.

Research has already shown that more than half of singles (51%) under 30 let their friends know the details of their dates*, and according to new in-app polling data, one in five Tinder users (18%) share their date plans with their mum**.

“At Tinder, we continue to release new features that aim to create a fun, safe, and respectful experience for all,” said Tinder country director Kristen Hardeman. “Discussing plans with friends and family is a time-honoured dating ritual. Share My Date streamlines this info-sharing so singles can jump right to the exciting part, from figuring out what to wear to prepping conversation topics.”

“To launch the Share My Date campaign in Australia, we wanted to keep Tinder front of mind for our #GirlTok lovers by weaving ourselves into the content they already know, love and relate to.”

The Share My Date feature has already rolled out across a number of global markets, including Australia. The local marketing and influencer campaign began on Saturday, May 25. See links to supporting creator content that has gone live for the Share My Date feature below:
