Woolworths launches new food range tested by customers

Woolworths has released a campaign to launch its new food range which has been created by nutritionists and chefs and taste-tested by everyday Australians.

Created by M&C Saatchi, the 30-second TVC relays to customers why the chefs picked the recipes, how the nutritionists selected the ingredients and how customers “picked at it, poked at it, ate it and rated it”.

The supermarket giant said it launched the new food range to help shoppers find the right meals and make cooking healthier and easier.

Peter Hathaway, Woolworths general manager of FoodCo Marketing, said in a statement: “At Woolworths we’re focused on constantly improving and evolving our food range and ensuring our customers have great quality and healthier options to choose from, that are also great value.

“Whether it’s the already popular lamb shanks or ice cream, every one of the Woolworths food range has been rigorously tested to ensure our customers and their feedback are an essential part of the product development journey.

“The Woolworths food range is also leading the way in improvements being made to product transparency on packaging with Health Star Ratings and Country of Origin labelling being rolled out across the range.”

The new range includes food such as butter chicken, ice-cream, yoghurt, salads, crackers, cheese and cookies.

In conjunction with the new campaign the supermarket has launched an online community called, The Bunch, where customers can try products from the food range and share their ratings and reviews.
