2DayFM becomes 2GayFM
Southern Cross Austereo’s 2DayFM is to rebrand as 2GayFM this weekend to mark Sydney’s Mardi Gras.
The station said: “All on-air promotions, presenters and the stations’ website will be known as 2gay for the day.
“2DayFM are strong believers of marriage equality and the station hopes to make a difference in Australia, big or small.”

Nothing like a bit of tacky cheap tokenism for one weekend a year. I wonder if 2’GAY’ FM realise that gay people are gay all year and not just around Mardi Gras?

@ Dave – settle petal, its a nice gesture, a bit of fun and also supportive.
I am sure they realise that gay people are gay all year, but its Mardi Gras so why not have a bit of fun.
It also sends a message of support as I mentioned which is still needed as homophobia definitely still exists in Australia.
