Emerson to swap Zing for The Prosperity Principal
PR agency Zing’s head of digital Geoffrey Emerson is quitting the award-winning Sydney agency to set up his own digital offering, Mumbrella can reveal.
The Prosperity Principal (P2) is aimed at helping small and medium sized businesses with their online marketing.
Emerson – who will also continue to consult with Zing – told Mumbrella: “I’ve seen a gap in the market to bridge the gap between develoment houses and big agencies.”
The new company will offer three services. Trusted Avatar is aimed at helping companies with their reputations within social media; Whisper Audit is aimed at helping companies and public bodes understand what is being said about them online; and The Prosperity Package will helps brands right from the basics of building a site.
The agency’s founding client is former Zing client Mozo.com.au, which is a financial comparison site based on user reviews. Emerson said: “Zing and I came to the conclusion that they were happy for me to have them as a client.”
Zing is B&T magazine’s current PR agency of the Year.

The Prosperity Principle… or P2… I wonder if it’ll be related to Darren Woolley’s P3, sorry, TrinityP3. If so, in time, will it be dubbed DichotomyP2 as it bridges the abyss “between development houses and big agencies”
Anyway, it’s always interesting when people start up new models (it is new isn’t it?): good luck!
