This is what happens when creatives download and use free TrueType fonts, thinking that it won’t matter.
Usually, they’re right.
Occasionally, they’re not right, and it goes spectacularly wrong.
I keep a particular copy of the Weekend Australian at work, where the FPC on the back page has suffered the same fate. Ouch.

There was a movie released here in Hong Kong (and China) recently, sort of a romcom, called Love in the Buff. Problem was, whoever chose the English language poster font was clearly more into decorative than legible – it looked like the movie title was ‘Love in the Butt’.
On the other hand, the whole thing got heaps of free publicity as the English-speaking population took to Facebook and forums to laugh.
