Michelle Bridges’ fitness program launches app

One of Australia’s most recognisable fitness coaches, Michelle Bridges, has launched an app to partner with her 12 Week Body Transformation program.

The release:

Australia’s leading online health and fitness program Michelle Bridges 12 Week Body Transformation (12WBT) has today released a first-of-its-kind app giving Aussies on a fitness mission access to an on-demand coach at the touch of an iPhone.

The holistic 12WBT Daily app, available to members participating in a 12week ‘Round’, is designed to support the development of new healthy behaviours by approaching nutrition and fitness one day at a time.

12WBT Product Director Lara Gray said: “Improving your health and fitness can seem like a gigantic, unattainable challenge, so breaking it down to one meal or workout at a time can help members develop new habits without it being overwhelming and that’s exactly what the app does. It provides a daily view of what meals you should be preparing and what exercise you should be doing to achieve your goal, whether it be weight loss, strength and toning, or running.

“It was also important for us to integrate with apps or features our members were already using, so we’ve ensured that iTunes playlists can play directly through the app, and that users have the option to feed in stats from their Fitbit, MyFitnessPal or through Apple Health.

“12WBT Daily’s standout feature though is the workout player it takes users through a stepbystep workout plan specifically designed for the program a user is following. There are 15 program in total, and the daily choice of outdoor, at home or gym workouts for most programs, providing tailored options available for people of all fitness levels: from those who have never worked out in their lives through to marathon runners.

“Workouts have been created by our team of fitness pros a mix of exercise scientists and personal trainers and are demonstrated through video with audio cues, so it really is like having your own coach available anytime, anywhere,” she said.

12WBT Daily’s Top 6 Features

  1. Workout Player: The player packages up stepbystep video demonstrations with instructional audio cues for workouts which can be done outdoors, at home, or at the gym using machines
  2. iTunes Integration: Research has shown the right kind of music can enhance endurance by 15 per cent and make exercising more enjoyable. Users can take workouts to the next level by listening to their iTunes playlists directly through the app.
  3. Audio Cues: Music can remain pumping throughout a workout as audio cues fade in and out to move through intervals, repetitions and rests.
  4. Daily View: Exercise and Meal Plans are mapped out for users every day including recipes, exercises and tips to keep users on track.
  5. My Stats: Users can link their Fitbit, MyFitnessPal and Apple Health stats so all data can be viewed inone place, with a single tap.
