Innovation lead Nic Hodges to depart MediaCom
MediaCom’s head of innovation and technology Nic Hodges is to depart the media agency, Mumbrella can reveal.
Hodges has been with the agency since 2010 and has previously worked as a creative director at Clemenger Proximity and prior to that at Clemenger BBDO.
“I’m taking a bit of a break,” Hodges told Mumbrella. “I’ll probably move closer to working with start ups which is something I’ve always sort of done.”
CEO of MediaCom Mark Pejic thanked Hodges for his contribution and said the agency would retain a relationship with him.
“Nic has been a great and valuable addition to the MediaCom family for years, and as many know he has continued to actively explore his entrepreneurial itch over this time, so whilst he is leaving to do more of this we are staying in touch and it’s likely he will be working with us on a more ad hoc basis in the future,” said Pejic
Hodges who has been vocal in the industry on issues, such as the challenges facing publishers with paywalls, said he had not decided on his precise next moves and that he would first be taking a holiday.
“I will be doing (startups) plus also working a bit with agencies but the main thing will be having a break first,” he said.

Probably due to their being no innovation of any kind in the media world, no matter how much they talk about it.. its all just the same stuff, different day..
Good luck dude, you will be innovative wherever you go.
