Party ads focus on the new
Labor and the Liberal Party have both launched election ads centring on the word new and featuring the respective party leaders.
Labor’s ad – A New Way – features PM Kevin Rudd addressing the camera about what the party stands for and urging supporters to volunteer to help in the coming campaign.
And the Liberal Party ad – New Hope – features images of young people, scientists and families along with a voiceover from Tony Abbott.
Meanwhile, the official start to the election campaign has led the TV networks to launch their own promos for their election coverage.
