MKR and US-pilot episode of Intelligence deliver ratings win for Seven

Seven’s airing of the pilot episode of US cyber-themed action-adventure television series Intelligence attracted a strong audience of 850,000 metro viewers at 9pm following on from My Kitchen Rules at 7.30pm which again had a strong metro audience of 1.961m, slightly down from Tuesday night’s 2.008m metro viewers,preliminary overnight ratings from OzTam show.

With Seven News the second most watched program after MKR, with a total metro audience of 1.155m, Seven won the night with a share of 30.2 per cent, well ahead of closest rival Nine which only managed a 16 per cent share.

The first half hour of Nine News at 6pm was the most watched show for Nine, attracting a metro audience of 1.149m, with the audience dropping away to 1.036m for the second half hour.

Home and Away continues to perform strongly for Seven with 971,000 metro viewers tuning in at 7pm.  It beat Nine’s A Current Affair which saw 865,000 metro viewers tune in. Both shows rated higher than the second half hour of Ten’s The Project which had a metro audience of 576,000 however this was up from the first half hour of the program which saw 447,000 metro viewers tune in.

Nine’s showing of David Attenborough’s Secrets of Wild India didn’t manage to break the 500,000 viewer mark, with an audience of 472,000 metro viewers, which was beaten by both Seven’s MKR and ABC1’s 7.30 which had a metro audience  of 824,000.

It did manage to beat Ten’s 7.30pm movie Fantastic Four which attracted a metro audience of 411,000.

ABC1 again managed to attract the third largest audience with a share of 12.3 per cent beating Ten’s share of 10 per cent.
