Studio 10 becomes Today Tonight? Never
Some observers feared that Peter “admiral without a fleet” Meakin’s tenure at Ten would see the likes of The Project and Studio 10 plunge downmarket and turn into imitations of seven’s Today Tonight.
This trailer for Monday’s show demonstrates just how wide of the mark those nay-sayers are.

The last hope for 10 currently is the “younger, more forward thinking” styling of the project.
Its no surprise that Dave Hughes and Charlie Pickering have jumped, they obviously saw the writing on the wall.
Sad day channel 10 – sad days indeed

Because I look to an infomercial-funded show for my consumer affairs guidance.
My favourite part of this is “See why Studio 10 makes headlines around the world.” The graphics show headlines from Sarah Harris’s near-disaster: ‘TV presenter almost shoots self in face with nail gun.’ Are they taking the piss?

Is it possible that Peter Meakin is a double agent? Why else would Ten change the only things that are working?

Well, today’s interview with Chris Graham, Editor of “New Maltilda”, regarding the Whitehouse Design scholarship issue was conducted with the utmost seriousness, which these infotainment programs rarely exhibit.
Each panel member hit Graham with a question, the substance of which was a disagreement with his investigative journalism. Then he was allowed, astoundingly in any television or radio interview, to complete his answer prior to the next question.
My partner reckons this is typical of the program, but perhaps the balance will steadily shift from the “info” to the “tainment” side. No doubt the experts here have far more insightful views than mine about its and Channel 10’s trajectory.
