ARN names Richie Wright as content director in Adelaide

Australian Radio Network has named Richie Wright as its content director in Adelaide, overseeing both Mix 102.3 and Cruise 1323.

Wright joined ARN in 2016 and has been based in Sydney as assistant content director for Kiis 1065.

He has also worked as a producer on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, the Kiis Network national night show and hosted The Voice radio show. Wright will begin his new role from Monday, October 19.

Of the internal appointment ARN’s national content director Duncan Campbell said: “It’s always a rewarding feeling to be able to promote from within the company, and Richie has the experience and skills to take on the role of Content Director in Adelaide. I am looking forward to seeing him lead the team to even greater ratings success.”

Of his new role, Wright said, “I’m really excited to join the team in Adelaide and bring my love of radio to a new market. Mix is a strong brand, has a heritage breakfast show and a team full of great people. I can’t wait to help it sparkle even brighter and further grow its market dominance.”

Wright has worked in radio for more than 10 years and held a number of roles at stations in Perth, the Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Hobart including assistant content director, announcer, music director and executive producer.

Wright’s appointment follows the resignation of Adelaide content director Barry Keohane last week.
