Canva spotlights new features in latest in-house campaign

Australian-owned graphic design platform Canva has launched the latest iteration of its ‘what will you design today’ campaign, led by the start-up’s local in-house creative team in partnership with production company Finch.

Set to roll out in the US market, the new work highlights how Canva’s products go beyond individual design capabilities, and now empower teams of all sizes to collaborate and design together.

The campaign features five 15-second TVCs that shine a spotlight on recently launched features in Canva’s growing product suite, including Whiteboards, Video, Presentations, Social Media and Print.

In addition to the TVC, Canva is involving its community in a design challenging, inviting its users to team up and try their hand at helping to design Canva’s next billboard. Three winning entries, inspired by the theme of ‘togetherness’, will each be featured for one month on a billboard in San Francisco.

Canva CMO, Zach Kitschke, said: “In this campaign, we’re targeting teams of all shapes and sizes. We want to inspire teams to collaborate and design together —  regardless of design skills or experience. Whether you’re a marketer rolling out a global campaign, a small business owner launching your brand, or a student working on a group project  —  communicating visually together is here to stay.

We not only want to introduce existing users to our evolving product suite, but also showcase the breadth and depth of Canva to everyone. While we’ve been known for graphic design and social media posts, presentations are now our second most popular use case. We’re deeply invested in increasing our workplace product suite to unlock the creative capabilities of teams of all sizes and skill sets, and the introduction of Video, Whiteboards, and Print is a demonstration of that. We believe the future is visual and harnessing the power of visual communication is key to driving business goals.”

The campaign will run throughout October across TV, streaming audio, OOH, social media and more in the US.
