Coopers Brewery puts nostalgia on tap in new sparkling ale campaign
Coopers Brewery aims to woo customers with nostalgia in its new sparkling ale campaign.
The campaign, created by KWP, launched with a cinema ad featuring shots of sparkling ale flowing from tap to glass, in slow-motion, supported with Billy Joel’s 1908s hit ‘Just the Way You Are’.
Other campaign assets include X-Track (out-of-home) TV and digital, featuring messages such as ‘Unchanged and Family Owned since 1862’ and ‘Hasn’t, Couldn’t, Wouldn’t’. The campaign was designed to highlight the history of the variant.
“Our commitment to quality and consistency hasn’t changed in over 150 years,” said Cam Pearce, director of sales and marketing at Coopers. “We’ve never compromised on quality, and never could, and we wouldn’t change a thing [and] the new campaign is a reflection of this.”
The campaign was released in two parts and will run until mid-2017.

Personally I would call this false advertising, once they moved from Leabrook to a purpose built high volume factory in an industrial park Coopers has never tasted the same again.
Unchanged! cough.

oh I do like this, is it too early for a beer? Interesting as working with a fast food chain currently about how to tap into nostalgia while also making themselves relevant for new generation. i think this add is a good example of being able to do both
