Frost wins two strategic branding projects

Design agency Frost has won two strategic branding projects, both via competitive pitch. The agency has been appointed to oversee a rebrand of North Sydney and to develop the brand strategy for the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House in Canberra.

The announcement:

Frost* has won two major strategic branding projects, both via competitive pitch. The agency has been appointed to oversee a rebrand of North Sydney, home to the business HQs of some of our largest blue chip companies, and to develop the brand strategy for the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House in Canberra.

After submitting the successful tender, Frost* will partner with North Sydney Council to support the economic vitality of the municipality. Already well known to Sydney-siders as the big-business capital of the city, Frost* will spend the next six months developing a brand and communications strategy and creative that supports the growth of this area as both a business and a residential district. The project forms part of The North Sydney Centre Review that will identify and implement policies and strategies to ensure that North Sydney retains and strengthens its role as a key component Sydney’s global economic arc, remains the principle economic engine of Sydney’s North Shore, and becomes a more attractive, sustainable and vibrant place for residents, workers and businesses.

Frost* have also been appointed as brand experts by the Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, to undertake a review of their brand and develop a new brand strategy. Old Parliament House in Canberra, Australia’s National Capital, first opened to the public in 1992. It launched as the Museum of Australian Democracy in 2009 and the organisation now plans to shape a fresh role for the museum. Frost*, who worked on rebrands with cultural institutions including the State Library of NSW and Sydney Living Museums, formerly the Historic Houses Trust, will guide them through that process.

“Our brand strategy practice has been growing from strength to strength”, said Catriona Burgess, Head of Strategy at Frost*. “We have a great deal of expertise in the branding and marketing of both destinations and cultural organisations and understand this space intimately. We worked hard to secure these projects because they are both already a part of our collective consciousness and that offers us some strong strategic challenges”.
