Rapidly growing Technology start-up is looking for a Sales Manager to join a small team based in Melbourne. This is a great opportunity to make a career move from within the digital or agency environment to a high growth technology firm that has developed a compelling audience and customer engagement product.

About the role

The overall purpose of the role is to lead the growth of profitable business, where you will be accountable for developing and executing business development plans, leading customer and potential customer conversations and presentations and converting these conversations into commercially feasible arrangements that align with the revenue, profit and overall strategic goals of the company.

Your responsibilities will include:

# The identification of new business opportunities within industries such as Sport, Automotive, Services, Wholesale & Distribution and Industrial.
# The development and conversion of these opportunities into new business in the first 6-12 months.
# Use a consultative approach to contact decision makers and understand their pain points, by phone, email, social media and events.
# Research and document relevant contact information for existing leads/keeping contact information updated
# Develop a CRM to ensure activities are documented properly, opportunities are forecasted accurately, and adequate information regarding the prospect and/or opportunity is communicated
# Building a collaborative working partnership with the COO and other team members.
# Being a startup, no two days are the same!

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience in selling a product or service into key corporate accounts, with a consultative, solution-oriented sales approach. You can demonstrate a successful track record in proactively growing sales pipelines and delivering results, and the ability to adapt in a fast changing work environment.

You are a proactive, self-motivated learner with a growth mindset and a passion for the digital and technology sectors. Experience working within a Digital Agency or Technology firm will be highly regarded.
