OMD Melbourne awards managing partner titles in executive restructure
OMD Melbourne has restructured its leadership team which sees senior executives awarded managing partner titles.
Antonia Glezakos, who was promoted to OMD Melbourne’s general manager in April last year, will now become a managing partner alongside Alex Smith, who was previously the head of Coles and Target at OMD Melbourne.
Sharon Cookson, who joined OMD Melbourne from Ikon in January where she held a managing partner title, has also been promoted to a managing partner of OMD Melbourne.
The new leadership team will be led by Dianne Richardson, who returned to Australia in December last year to become the managing director of OMD Melbourne, following Margie Reid departing the agency after 11 years.
In other promotions for the Melbourne agency, Henry Feagins will become the head of strategy after working with the agency for two years.
Anjana Khallouf, head of OMD Create Melbourne and Andrew Brannaghan, head of investment will also join the leadership team alongside Antonia Glezakos, Alex Smith, Sharon Cookson and Henry Feagins.
OMD Melbourne is also currently seeking a head of digital.
The successful applicant will also be part of the agency’s leadership team.
Aimee Buchanan, OMD Australia’s CEO, said in a statement: “We are investing in great talent at a local level to reflect the scale of our Melbourne office.
“This is about ensuring we deliver to our clients now and into the future.”
So they are partners in the agency? They have equity in the business. Brilliant idea well done OMD. Or is this a piss take gesture?

It’s just the management team with different names. Managing partner is incorrectly overused in this industry.

If they have been awarded equity along with ‘awarding’ their titles, then it’s a great incentive to hold senior talent.
Credit due to the diversity in that team too.

I doubt it’s equity.

New bigger titles saves business about 50k per title. Ironically managing partner titles work in the opposite way of equity. You get paid less having a bigger title.
Congrats to those involved. Please OMD tell me I’m wrong and they got equity or at least a pay rise.
