Seiko creates branded wrist bands for Supercars

Watch brand Seiko has announced it has created branded wristwatch bands for a Supercars event.

The announcement:

Supercars in collaboration with Seiko, have developed a unique campaign for their brand to engage with our fans at track.

We have created bespoke Seiko wrist bands that closely replicate a current Seiko 5 watch. These wrist bands will be used for money can’t buy experiences such as Supercars Grid Walks which allows fans up close and exclusive access to their favourite teams and drivers on the grid, moments before the race starts. The Grid Walk wrist bands are mandatory and will deliver Seiko relevant opportunities with thousands of our fans and valued partners. The objective for the first year of the partnership is to build brand awareness with our fanbase.

This is a fun and engaging form of ambient advertising for Seiko which will really stand out at track.

Later in the year Seiko will optimise this asset to incorporate QR codes which will link to a consumer promotion / content hub linked to the exclusive limited edition Supercars themed timepiece watch.

This at event activity kicks off part of a wider communications campaign which will run from May onwards. A comprehensive digital marketing campaign will be rolled out across all Supercars digital channels, with a focus on the new custom watch release.
