Speed agency wins Seafood Industry Australia media account

Speed agency’s managing partner Ian Perrin has confirmed the agency has won the Seafood Industry Australia as a retained media client, almost three months after Clemenger BBDO Sydney won the creative.

Perrin has been quickly expanding Speed

Perrin confirmed to Mumbrella it was a full service media account that included strategy, implementation, and both traditional and performance buying.

Seafood Industry Australia is the national peak-body representing the Australian seafood industry as a whole. It includes members from the wildcatch, aquaculture and post-harvest sectors of the Australian seafood industry.

“We are absolutely stoked to be promoting Australian Seafood,” Perrin told Mumbrella as the first creative work from Clemenger BBDO Sydney dropped. “They came to us with an inspirational brief around behaviour change, and we have thoroughly enjoyed working with the team at Clemenger BBDO to produce [the initial] fully integrated campaign that answers it.”

Perrin added: “It’s a behaviour change brief – get more Australians to eat Australian seafood. So that’s a full funnel requirement of driving greater awareness of the options, consideration on a more regular basis and buying more often.”

Speed, which was founded by Perrin and run by himself and Duncan Parfitt, has had a busy 2020 with various client wins including V energy drinks, Dulux Group, Voyages and tech-startup Memories in addition to Frucor, Paspaley, Palmers, Dry July, Japan Airlines and QIC.

The agency currently has 10 staff and earlier this year announced Emma Smallwood would be joining the team from Noisy Beast to lead the independent media agency’s media activation team.
