TransferWise employs Betoota Advocate to push its international transfer service

Currency exchange service TransferWise has enlisted The Betoota Advocate in its ‘Win It Back’ campaign highlighting the financial traps of sending money overseas.

In the video, The Betoota Advocate’s Clancy Overell and Errol Parker discuss how expensive and slow international money transfers are as they set up a bureau in London.

The content piece is set up as a Facetime conversation between Overell and Parker as they discuss the logistics and financials of setting up the new operation.

When Overell suggests Parker will have to wait until the morning for more funds, Parker responds: “Don’t go to the bank ya spoon, it’s 2018. Get onto this mob called TransferWise. they’ve got some of the lowest rates in the industry and their turnaround time is quicker than the street food you had in Singapore that time.

“Even a dumb bushie like you could use it mate, you’ll be fine.”

On the Win It Back website, TransferWise is also offering an online calculator to show how banks and other transfer services are hiding fees at artificially high rates along with a competition inviting users to share their currency exchange horror stories.

TransferWise’s campaign is the latest branded content push from The Betoota Advocate which has previously partnered with Virgin Money in its #avofairgo mockumentary and GrowSuper’s ‘This is financial marketing, but not as we know it’ campaign.
