Omnicom media agency PHD has restructured its Melbourne operations with strategy director Daniel Isaac promoted to general manager, Mumbrella can reveal.

As part of the changes, Simon Lawson has been promoted into the role of group business director on PHD’s biggest client ANZ, with global business director Angela Feruglio set to depart.

“Our Melbourne operation is at a size where we now need a GM,”said Toby Hack, PHD national managing director. “It was obvious to us that we already had the perfect candidate at PHD in Daniel.

“Daniel is a fantastic operator and this role will truly play to his strengths and experience and allow further growth for the agency,”

Feruglio was a founding member of PHD’s Melbourne office, and led the account when it first won the ANZ account from Mitchells in 2012.

CEO Mark Coad said in a statement: “After many discussions PHD and Angela have agreed to part company. Angela has made a tremendous contribution to PHD Melbourne from day one. She has played a key role in the growth that we have achieved.

“She will be missed and we are very grateful to her for the contribution she has made”.

PHD claims it has now doubled the size of its Melbourne office since it opened three years ago on the back of new business wins including SAP, Priceline, the Cancer Council and Haymes Paints.

On the promotion of Lawson, Coad said: “Simon has been pivotal in driving an extremely solid relationship with PHD Melbourne’s foundation client, ANZ.

“His leadership, strategic ability and innovative thinking are world class. It’s only natural that we look to extend his good work further with ANZ.”
