Return of My Kitchen Rules pulls 1.441m for Seven following Easter break
The return of My Kitchen Rules after a week-long Easter break pulled an audience of 1.441m for Seven and was the most watched show across all demographics, handing the channel a winning audience share of 23.5 per cent.
Nine grabbed an audience share of 21 per cent while the ABC claimed third place with a share of 15.3 per cent as Ten managed a share of 10.4 per cent.
Nine’s The Block: Triple Threat was watched by 986,000 in the same 7.30pm timeslot, down from last week’s audience of 1.111m.
Ten did not air its US sitcom The Odd Couple last night due to the Easter long weekend, airing in its place two episodes of Modern Family. The 7.30pm episode was watched by 409,000 while the 8pm episode had an audience of 387,000.
The 7.30pm episode was out-rated by the ABC’s 7.30 which was watched by 760,000 metro viewers.
Australian Story at 8pm pulled in 741,000 metro viewers while Four Corners at 8.30pm had an audience of 738,000. Media Watch at 9.20pm which featured an extended interview with Nine Entertainment Co CEO David Gyngell grabbed 673,000 metro viewers and Q&A at 9.30pm was watched by 504,000.
On Nine, a repeat episode of The Big Bang Theory at 8.45pm pulled in 988,000 viewers, dropping to 760,000 metro viewers for a second repeat episode at 9.15pm.
In the 9pm timeslot on Seven, Revenge grabbed a metro audience of 651,000, up on last week’s audience of 561,000. In time-shifted viewing, last week’s episode of Revenge was watched by an extra 126,000 viewers, taking its total audience to 687,000.
In news, Seven News at 6pm just managed to win the night with a metro audience of 1.238m, just ahead of Nine News at 6pm which had an audience of 1.217m. Seven News or Today Tonight at 6.30pm was watched by 1.182m while Nine News at 6.30pm had an audience of 1.118m.
