Underbelly fades for Nine but still wins Sunday
Sunday night’s second outing for Nine’s Underbelly saw the show sink below the magic 2m mark although it still easily won the night.
The show rated 1.9m, according to preliminary overnight metro ratings from OzTam. This was down on last week’s double episode, which rated 2.2m and 2.1m for the two parts.
Sunday was also a good night for Ten, driven by the series finale of The Biggest Loser, with the winner announcement drawing nearly 1.6m viewers. Ten’s big ratings week is set to continue tonight with the return of a second series of cooking competition Masterchef.
Meanwhile, the ABC’s decision to make the first outing of the new Doctor Who available on iView ahead of its broadcast didn’t seem to hurt its ratings. The show was ABC1’s top one of Sunday with just over 1m viewers.
