The C0mmunications Council has announced the finalists for APG Planning Idol.
The announcement:
18 planning talents have been shortlisted to run for the 2011 Planning Idol title.
Selected from 52 entries, they now go on to present in front of a panel of judges for a chance to pitch their breakthrough ideas.
This year’s contestants were tasked to create a strategy for One Laptop per Child Australia, moving people, business and the government to actively support the work of OLPC in providing access to education for children in remote areas of Australia.
“Besides the obvious chance of getting awarded for outstanding planning, this is the finalists chance to bounce ideas off a panel of respected leaders in our field. We’ll be looking for ideas that are powerful enough to create the long term behavioural change OLPC is after,” said Sudeep Gohil, APG Chairman.
The stage Two Judges include Rangan Srikhanta – CEO One Laptop per Child, Naren Sanghrajka – Droga5, Russ Mitchinson – DDB & APG’s Deputy Chairman, Anna Barnwell – BMF (the 2009 APG Idol) Howard Parry-Husbands – Pollinate, Sandy Oldham – Sandy Oldham Consulting and APG’s Sudeep Gohil – Droga5.
