New subscription product a step-up from the free site

Business Spectator has today announced the launch this week of a new subscription product – KGB Inner Circle

Alan Kohler, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of Business Spectator said: “Over the past four years, Business Spectator has taken the lead in writing the best business and investment commentary in Australia, constantly providing new ways to keep our audience up to date.”

“We have found that, whilst our audience really love our sites and especially our commentary, they want the opportunity to engage more closely and immediately with us.  KGB Inner Circle meets that need, stepping up the interaction and providing them with a new level of insight from our commentators”.

What makes this truly unique for a web-based business commentary product is that the audience is brought into the conversation in real time, to have their questions immediately answered by Bob Gottliebsen, Steve Bartholomeusz, Karen Maley and me, as important events take shape.”

Nicholas Gray said “KGB Inner Circle will be a subscription product, and will fully launch in March. In the meantime we have invited an exclusive list of Business Spectator’s most loyal readers to trial KGB Inner Circle in beta for free, and help us with the final refinements.  Business Spectator remains free and the existing product will be in no way diminished by this new launch.”

“Our experience with growing the Eureka Report subscriber base, which is now at record highs, has taught us that a digital subscription product can be successful through focus on the quality and uniqueness of the editorial rather than the quantity of information.”

“A membership of KGB Inner Circle will cost around $5 per week.  Given the uncertain times, and the KGB’s ability to help navigate people through what is going on, we believe this will represent great value for lovers of Business Spectator”.
