DDB Sydney in search for ‘talented and nice’ uni grads

The Sydney office of creative agency DDB has kicked off a hunt for young university leavers to sign up for its graduate program.

The announcement:

DDB Sydney has today started its search for the most talented and nice university graduates with the opening of applications for the 2013 DDB Graduate Program. To secure a spot in the 2013 intake, candidates are being asked to tell DDB their ‘brand line’ – that single thing that defines them and sets them apart from the pack.

The DDB Graduate Program was established in Australia over twelve years ago and has placed more than 70 university graduates within the business. As a full service integrated agency, the program offers graduates exposure to the entire marketing mix, from advertising to healthcare, digital to brand consultancy, social media, PR and experiential.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a group assessment day where they will be observed as they participate in creative-led individual and group tasks. Successful candidates will be placed in roles across the agency from February 2013.

A DDB Graduate himself, Group Managing Director of DDB Sydney, Chris Brown knows just how beneficial a spot in DDB’s Graduate Program can be.

“Our strong portfolio of brands and world class work paired with our integrated offering gives graduates a fantastic opportunity to jump in the deep end of account service, planning and creative ideation, while learning from some of the best operators in marketing,” said Brown.

“We continue to see a large number of university graduates apply each year, and many of those who secure a place in the program go on to achieve great things both within the DDB international network and the wider industry. Having started at DDB London, I know first hand how a start in the graduate program is a brilliant induction into the industry and can lead to a successful career and exciting opportunities all over the world,” concluded Brown.

The graduate program is just one of the initiatives that are part of DDB’s commitment to its workplace. Other packages for staff include slumber days, flexible working conditions, summer hours and extensive training opportunities.

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 5th October. Visit www.ddb.com.au/2013grads for more information or ‘like’ the DDB 2013 Graduate Program Facebook page to speak with participants in the 2012 Graduate Program.
