Laura Byrne
Originally from New York and now based in Queensland, I am an accomplished public relations and social media tactician, with strong experience crafting communications strategies for well-known global brands.
My strengths include written communications [campaign strategies, business plans, news releases, bios, original content for web and print]; messaging and brand identity; and social media/media relations.
I’ve worked across a wide range of industries, from travel, fashion and beauty to toys, tech, home/design, auto, energy and the environment.
In particular, I have a passion for the nutrition and food industries. My experience in this area includes campaigns for Weight Watchers, Mayo Clinic Health Information System, Target [USA] stores [grocery/pharmacy], NYC Department of Education SchoolFood program, National Sleep Foundation and more. I also recently completed a specialised graduate certificate in nutrition communication from Tufts University in Boston.
In addition, I earned a B.A. in English and a graduate certificate in Publishing for Business Communications, both from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
