Havas Group announces global mission to make a ‘meaningful difference’ to clients

Havas Group has announced its new global strategy to “make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses, and people”, based on recent shifts in customer expectations.

A series of initiatives – including a new “business methodology” and commitments around equality, environmental responsibility and harassment training – will make the Havas Group a “more meaningful place to work”, the group said.

The first initiative is introducing a new business methodology to all of Havas’ creative, media and heath businesses, which will offer clients consistent services around the world. The group will also be utilising its village model with the aim of providing clients with integrated business solutions.

The Havas Group will also be working on evolving its talent programs to continually improve and attract people to the business, the group said. Alongside this, chairman and CEO of Havas Group and chairman of Vivendi, Yannick Bolloré, announced a series of new commitments addressing the group’s culture including gender equality, workplace harassment training and environmental responsibility.

Together these initiatives have the aim of making the Havas Group a more ‘meaningful’ place to work.

Bolloré also announced that the group will be furthering its development of millennial-targeted ad agency Annex, which arose from Vivendi taking a majority stake in the Havas Group in 2017.  He stated that this would give Havas “unmatched access to meaningful content”.

This initiative will be facilitated by Havas Group’s recent acquisition of Los Angeles-based creative agency Battery, which will be incorporated into Annex and bring with it its expertise of the gaming and entertainment industries.

Bolloré said in a statement: “Our Together strategy transformed our Group and enabled us to create more than 60 Villages all over the world, making us the most integrated group in our industry.

“Togetherness will remain at the heart of everything we do but it is now the right time for us to set ourselves a new ambition: make a meaningful difference to brands, businesses and people. The primary focus of everyone at Havas is to create meaningful brands because meaningful brands are better for business and for the world we live in.”
