Hotels.com reminds travellers of perils of adventuring overseas

Hotels.com has launched a new campaign highlighting the activities which are best avoided when on holidays.

A 30-second commercial features a man and a woman taking a cooking class while on holidays before he accidentally lights her hair on fire.

The voice over then says: “Pretending to be a chef on your holiday isn’t always a good idea, but booking with hotels.com is”.

Another 30-second ad shows a man getting attention and accolades from revellers in a bar before being challenged to eat a scorpion.

The voiceover says: “Being too adventurous isn’t always a good idea, but booking with Hotels.com is.”

Two other ads in the series see a man feeding a bird which ends in a flock of birds swarming his lunch date while another commercial shows how getting directions in a foreign country doesn’t always go to plan.

Hotels.com’s creative agency of record is Host.
