Let the boycott begin…
“I am a customer of Cotton On Kids who buys a STACK of clothes there for my kids and who willingly endorses their products FOR FREE whenever I am interviewed by the media. But Cotton On? Listen hard. I will not be setting foot inside any of your stores – not your kids stores or your adult stores or your Rubi shoes stores – until you discontinue this appalling line of slogan t-shirts and issue some kind of apology.”
Mia Freedman shows Cotton On there is such a thing as bad PR
Dear whoever will listen on an internet mong-board,
I for one am disgusted.
Will no-one think of the children?
This clearly promotes child abuse and in no way contains any element of ironic humour. I’m writing to the Herald Sun and No[sic] Idea and ACA and Today Tonight.
Twice. Maybe even three times. Then the UN.
I personally cam empathise with the danger of slogan t-shorts. I can no longer wear my “I’m Gay. Now show me your tits” tshirt [ http://snipurl.com/punpl ] as a ridiculous number of women did just that. Boy, did they get a surprise 2 minutes later.
I hope the Cotton On Kids site is included in the Internet Filter as it’s clearly paedophile filth.
Off to Hillsong now.
Yours,
Cupid Stunt

Ahem… Ok, so the shirts are in pretty poor taste. Agree. But who is buying them? Having worked at Cotton On I know that if something doesn’t sell, it pretty quickly ends up being pulled off the shelf.

Agree.
It smacks of the same deeply flawed logic around fast-food advertising and childhood obesity.
The t-shirts are utterly benign. The kid has no idea what it’s about. The parents have made a (largely irrelevant) personal choice. It isn’t going to cause a child abuse frenzy and is utter, utter, dross.

The Chaser’s sick kids episode, the Kyle & Jackie O child exploitation episode, the Cotton On t-shirt episode. A new era of speedy public outcry and organised outrage. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next.

This is silly –
I put this in the pile of who cares what you think, until you take my choices and freedoms away…
Will no-one think of the children? <- seriously? that has to be a joke..
This clearly promotes child abuse? ok, if not then this one is a joke?
The only thing moronic about this, is that idiots around the world are creating more sensorship that required, about things that are not in their expertise and a clear example of someone's moral compass completely broken.
Keep your ideas to yourself, and don't ruin a relaxed country, a silly joke, or basic freedom of choice for the rest of us.
