Massive scented Tic Tac boxes used to promote Berries flavour outside supermarkets
Giant Tic Tac boxes will feature outside Coles and Woolworths to promote the brand’s new Berries flavour.
The campaign was done in partnership with PHD, Ooh Media and The Mix Agency, and will run in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
Tic Tac’s parent company Ferrero Australia claim the activation is a ‘media first’ as people will be able to smell the boxes as they approach the supermarkets.
“Shoppers can’t miss the giant 3D Tic Tac packs, and the scent will stimulate their taste buds, influencing them to buy a pack at the supermarket nearby”, said Blair Hamilford commercial director of retail sales said.
The campaign will place 25 boxes across the three states, with the tallest reaching almost two-metres.
Melissa Haggerty, business director, said: ‘This campaign really ignites the playful fun that is core to the Tic Tac brand. I believe it is one our consumers will love and will put a smile on our shoppers’ faces.”
The Tic Tac Berries campaign is out-of-home only and will run for two weeks.
Any idea where these are located? Clients are national and sell all over Australia but far too often “activations” are centered in Martin Place, Bondi Beach and Bondi Junction and very occasionally Federation Square. Agencies and HQs might be based in Sydney but most Australians are not.
Please tell me this campaign is in the suburbs. (Ps I live in inner Sydney but have perspective)

Oh forgot to add Adelaide has a million people, Perth 1.5m. Would US cities of that size be consistently ignored?
