OMD wins $7m Ancestry.com.au

Omnicom media agency OMD has won a pitch with PHD, AKA, Amnesia and two other agencies for the $7m account of Ancestry.com.au, the family history website Ancestry.com.au.

The announcement:

Media strategy, planning and buying company OMD Australia today announce that following a competitive pitch they have been appointed to the $7m national media planning and buying account for Australia’s leading family history website Ancestry.com.au.

Synonymous with connecting people with their roots Ancestry.com.au launched in 2006, and is part of a global network of nine Ancestry websites, offering members access to more than 6 billion family history records and over 20 million family trees from around the world.

Ancestry.com.au Managing Director Debra Chesterton comments: “We’re really thrilled to be working with OMD.
