TGI Sport announces new general manager of live

TGI Sport has a new general manager of live – Belinda Keay.

The announcement:

TGI Sport is proud to announce that event, stadium and operational expert Belinda Keay is the new GM of live and will be leading the Major Events, Brand Activations and Premium Hospitality team.

Keay will step into a senior leadership position with 20+ years experience and is also joined by Charlotte Fetherston-Godley and Belinda Kelso who have both received internal promotions and will move into the new roles of head of brand Melbourne and head of brand Sydney, respectively.

In addition to the new appointments and as part of TGI Sport’s commitment to employee development, TGI has launched a bespoke in-house up-skill program that is exclusive for our employees and is driven by our genuine belief that we have the best creative, strategic and executional minds in the country in our business and we want our team members to learn from the best of the best during their time at TGI Sport.

Titled “Playbook” TGI Sport believes to be at our best we must always grow our skills and the nine-month sports marketing training program invented for our people, by our people, sees team members completing unique modules that ensure they are learning across all areas of the industry not just the role they are performing.

Playbook sees participants learn about all areas of the industry from Creative, Partnerships, Communications, Event Management, Commercial & Client Strategy, Financial and Business Management and how to be the best presenter they can be to own the room.

Furthermore, Playbook allows our TGI Sport senior team members to draw upon and share their wide pool of business knowledge to upskill the next generation of Sports Marketing professionals to be the best version of their professional self and expediate their career development.

EGM of marketing at TGI Sport Clare Fox said, “We saw an opportunity to leverage our employee’s proficiencies within their fields, creating an in-house educational curriculum that covers all aspects of marketing and customer relations.

“It is great to see our employees upskilling each other, creating more diverse skillsets and well-rounded professionals that will ultimately service clients to the highest possible standard.”

Head of creative WILDCARD Tom Meredith said, “Playbook is designed to showcase our employees’ creative, strategic, and analytical thinking.

“Flexing and building on our employee’s knowledge allows us to propel innovative client work and project success, a standard which TGI Sport and WILDCARD pride themselves on.”

Beginning with an application process, candidates were invited to share why they would like to take part in the Playbook program and what professional goals they want to achieve. Setting a tone for the program of investment, enhancing tailored learning.

Each workshop has been carefully curated by specialists in their field, sharing their knowledge and expertise. Highlighted sessions include ‘Building Strong Clients’ an interactive session digging into the importance of strong relationships in the workplace and how these are formed. As well as ‘Powerful Presentation Fundamentals’ a practical session whereby the group will learn the key skills for presenting with conviction.

The course involves 1-2 sessions per month matching the professional level of the employee It includes 15 modules tailored to the cohort.
