Val Morgan Digital and The Fork partner to launch Thrillist Serves Australia

Val Morgan Digital and Trip Advisor’s The Fork have launched Thrillist Serves Australia, a digital hospitality platform.

The announcement:

Val Morgan Digital (VMD) is partnering with The Fork, Australia’s number one restaurant booking app to launch Thrillist Serves, a digital support network for the hospitality industry, hosted on Thrillist Australia.

This program will support hospitality business owners and drive audiences to book, buy and support them at a time when they need it the most.

Thrillist is part of the wider Val Morgan Digital family which also includes The Latch, Fandom and POPSUGAR Australia. Thrillist Australia believes routine should be challenged, spontaneity makes life more interesting, and regular indulgence is good for the soul. Fun should be taken seriously, and local cultures should be celebrated.

With a network of 4,000 restaurants across Australia, TheFork caters for every taste, every budget and every occasion. In partnering with The Fork, Thrillist Serves will act as a digital storefront for restaurants, bars and cafes around Australia. Val Morgan Digital will create custom content, promoting restaurants supported by The Fork, with a dedicated platform that links users directly back to restaurants to book tables. There will also be a competition to give away $5,000 worth of restaurant experiences.

Ben Tyers, Editor of Thrillist Australia said, “Our foundations at Val Morgan Digital are about igniting important conversations across different mediums, platforms and screens. The Thrillist Serves initiative really speaks to that, as we put a spotlight on our local hospitality venues and the ways in which we can support them. It’s been a tough 18 months for the industry between bushfires, COVID 19 and the subsequent travel restrictions so there has never been a more important time to serve the hospitality industry. Together with The Fork, I can’t wait to get started.”

Gary Burrows, The Fork Australia Country Manager said, “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Thrillist Australia to launch Thrillist Serves. We’re committed to supporting the hospitality industry and doing everything we can to encourage Australians to dine out. Our mission is to give diners the ability to discover great restaurants, at the best price, at the right time. Thrillist Serves is another opportunity for us to help drive diners to restaurants, which is the most important thing a restaurant needs right now.”

Thrillist Serves launches today and with TheFork Festival now on, it’s the perfect time to lock in those overdue catch ups with family and friends. The Fork users have access to special discount offers including up to 50% off their food bill at hundreds of restaurants across Australia until 28th March. Stay tuned for more on Thrillist Serves in the coming weeks.
